The Clark Love Story | From Dating to "I Do"

Some love stories have a way of coming full circle, and Amelia and Michael's is one I'll treasure forever.

I first met these two after they won one of my photography giveaways. We spent an afternoon in the studio capturing their love as they were, simply enjoying this season of dating. Neither of us knew then that it would be the beginning of years spent documenting some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

Not long after, Amelia and Michael graciously agreed to model for one of my styled shoots. While we were planning the details, Michael reached out with a question that instantly made my answer easy: "Can I propose during the shoot?"

Without hesitation, we began planning every detail together.

The styled shoot transformed into something far more meaningful than inspiration photos. Michael arrived in a classic tuxedo with tails, Amelia stepped into a stunning wedding gown, and what looked like an editorial session quickly became a real proposal. Watching her say "yes" in the middle of such a beautifully planned moment felt like witnessing a real-life fairy tale unfold.

With Michael's work schedule approaching, we shifted our focus to planning a small, intimate elopement in the heart of downtown St. Augustine. Surrounded by the city's timeless charm, they exchanged vows in a celebration that was simple, heartfelt, and centered entirely on the two of them. It was the perfect beginning to their marriage.

As if that wasn't enough, the story continued one more time.

After their elopement, we began planning their wedding celebration with family and friends at the Garden Club in Jacksonville, Florida. This day allowed them to celebrate not only their marriage, but every step that had led them there. From a giveaway session, to a styled shoot turned surprise proposal, to an intimate elopement, and finally a joyful wedding celebration, it has been an incredible honor to document every chapter of the Clark love story.

As a photographer, there are few gifts greater than being invited back into a couple's life again and again. Watching Amelia and Michael's story unfold through my lens has been one of those rare privileges I'll never take for granted, and I can't wait to see what chapter comes next.
